About the Teacher

Smt Sneha Vivek, the Artistic Director of "Natya Ninada" comes from a small town on the outskrits of Udupi, the cornerstone for fine arts and ancient Hindu traditions. Smt Sneha started her training in Bharathanatyam at a very early age. Her first two years of training was under the guidance of Ms Fernandes. The next three years was under the guidance of Smt Mallika Kannan. She continued her training in the Pandanallur style of Bharathanatyam from the renowned Guru "Karnataka Kalashri" Vidwan Chandrashekar Navada. Guru Vidwan Chandrashekar Navada is the disciple of "Karnataka Kala Thilaka" Sri Ullal Mohan Kumar.

Smt Sneha Vivek has dedicated the last three decades of her life to Indian classical dance. Smt Sneha Vivek has also received training in Yakshagana from Sri Prathish Kumar, a prominent Guru at the Yakhagana Kala Kendra, Udupi. He received his training from the lengendary Dr Shivarama Karanth.

Smt Sneha has imbibed from her mentors the best of Indian art, culture and aesthetics. With Guru Vidwan Chandrashekar Navada's blessings and guidance, Sneha started the Natyanjali School of dance at Rohnert Park, USA in 2005. She currently runs the Natya Ninada Performing Arts Foundation, CA. Classes are held in Fremont.
